Getting advice

Please note that we can only deal with enquiries from residents of Redbridge or those who work in the borough, so please ensure you give us your full address or details of where you are employed.  If neither of these applies to you then we won’t be able to respond.  If this is the case then please visit the national Citizens Advice site for details of your local service at citizensadvice.org.uk.

For help about claiming Universal Credit, please see Universal Credit (below).

Please also note that our advisers work mainly from home and we do not offer face-to-face appointments on demand.  Most clients can be helped by phone or email and all clients are initially assessed in this way.  If necessary, a follow-up face-to-face appointment may be offered.

Please use the buttons below to send us an email or call 0808 278 7872 between 9am and 5pm.
This number is free to call from landlines and mobiles in the UK.
Lines can get very busy as demand for our service is high, so please be patient.

Please complete ALL parts of the form.  If a part of the form does not apply to you or you are unsure of an answer, you must still fill it in with “not applicable” or similar.  Please do not use these forms to ask for an appointment.  We are unable to give appointments on request.

Universal Credit

Our Help to Claim service can support you in the early stages of your Universal Credit claim, from the application, through to your first payment.

You can also chat online with an adviser about your Universal Credit application in the same way as you would over the phone or face to face.  The ‘Talk to an adviser’ button will be visible at the bottom of your screen on the Help to Claim page if an adviser is available.  This service is usually available from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.  If no advisers are currently available, the chat box won’t appear.

Alternatively, you can call us for free: 0800 144 8 444.
Lines are open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
